With the first season of Daredevil hitting this past April, most fans were expecting it to be around that time, especially after lead Charlie Cox intimated as much in a recent interview. Now a new piece in Entertainment Weekly has revealed that we might be seeing it a bit earlier with plans for the show to return in March 2016. Some of this may be to adjust for scheduling between it and the recent debut of Jessica Jones in November and the upcoming Luke Cage series due out sometime later in 2016.
The new season is doing some solid expanding while still working within Hell’s Kitchen as they’re utilizing their returned license of The Punisher with Jon Bernthal taking on the role while also updating and introducing Elektra to the Marvel Universe here as played by Elodie Young.
The show stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, Jon Bernthal and Elodie Yung.
Plot concept: Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
