‘Boku dake ga Inai Machi’ Anime Gets New Full Promotional Video

Bokumachi Visual 12-25The folks at Aniplex USA announced their acquisition of the winter 2016 anime series Boku Dake ga Inai Machi recently and now it’s getting a bit more promotion on the Japanese side. The localized version is being called ERASED for its release in English-speaking territories. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series beginning on January 7th, 2016 at 11:30am ET for users with details to come from Crunchyroll at a later time for availability and more.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Kei Sanbe, which began back in the summer of 2012 in Young Ace. The manga has ranked well since then and has been slowly but surely gaining more attention and traction.

The cast includes Shinnosuke Mitsushima as Satoru Fujinuma, Tao Tsuchiya as Satoru Fujinuma (10-year-old), Aoi Yuuki as Kayo Hinazuki, Chinatsu Akasaki as Airi Katagiri, You Taichi as Kenya Kobayashi, Akari Kito as Hiromi Sugita, Ayaka Nanase as Osamu, Yukitoshi Kikuchi as Kazu, Takahiro Mizushima as Jun Shiratori, Minami Takayama as Sachiko Fujinuma and Mitsuru Miyamoto as Gaku Yashiro.

The anime adaptation is being directed by Tomohiko Itou based n the scripts by Taku Kishimoto and will be produced at A-1 Pictures. Keigo Sasaki is handling the character designs.

Plot concept: Satoru Fujinuma is a young manga artist struggling to make a name for himself following his debut. But, that was not the only thing in his life that Satoru was feeling frustrated about…he was also living with a strange condition only he was able to experience.

╼ REVIVAL
A strange phenomenon where one is transferred back to the moment right before something life-threatening occurs. This continues to happen until the cause of the threat is erased. It is as if somebody is forcing Satoru to stop it from happening.

Then one day, everything is changed!

What truths are revealed when Satoru comes face to face with his own past?
How will they affect his future?
