Now available in how it was truly meant to be ! With a French Blu-ray release in the works, TMS Entertainment has now brought out the entire run of Nobody’s Boy Remi to YouTube in its French language version. Naturally, there are no English language subtitle, but for those curious to hear what it would be like this is definitely a treat. The series got a US release years ago through the burn on demand program via ImaginAsian TV and we did have an English subtitled version on Hulu for awhile in the last couple of years.
Based on the novel Sans Famille by Hector Malot, the show was animated back in 1977 for a fifty-one episode run at TMS Entertainment with Osamu Dezaki directing. Anime Limited has worked to bring the series to France before in DVD form and Blu-ray.
Plot concept: Remi was just a boy living in the French countryside with his mother. But when a terrible series of events leave him in the care of a wandering street performer named Vitalis, Remi must learn to be strong. Because he’s about to learn just how incredibly harsh life can really be. Based on the famed 19th century children’s novel by Hector Malot, Remi’s incredible story will be one you never forget.
