The 2016 debut of One Piece Film Gold will be bringing out plenty of teases in the months to come before it hits its premiere and a new one has show up with a scanned look at a new character that will be appearing in it. Described as a mysterious man, the unnamed character was evidently drawn and designed by original work creator Eiichiro Oda, which will certainly delight fans looking for his particular style and brand to be apparent in it.
Scheduled for a July 23rd, 2016 theatrical release in Japan, the new visual has arrived for it and you realize that there’s been very little “gold” in the series itself, which feels weird considering they’re pirates and treasure hunters.
With preorder tickets set to go on sale in soon, it was recently revealed that Hiroaki Miyamoto will be directing it based on the screenplay by Tsutomu Kuroiwa. Miyamoto previously directed a good chunk of the TV series while Kuroiwa worked on The Perfect Insider this season as well as the live action Black Butler film.
Will this be a film that FUNimation can work similar to Dragon Ball Z by getting it into enough theaters and galvanizing fans to check it out, providing they acquire it of course?
