The second season of Assassination Classroom had a little new information come out this weekend that the show will run for twenty-five episodes when it hits, essentially replicating what we had with the first season. Now the official Twitter account has brought out a great new key visual from the show that we can see using as our phone lock screen for awhile. The second season is now scheduled for a January 7th, 2016 debut on multiple networks around the country. It’s expected that the second season will get a simulcast pickup from FUNimation.
The first season was directed by Seiji Kishi based on scripts from Makoto Uezu. Keiko Kurosawa served as both the chief animation director and the character designer while the animation was produced at Lerche. Viz Media is currently releasing the manga for it while FUNimation simulcast the first season of the series and licensed it for home video release.
The cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei, Tomokazu sugita as Tadaomi Karasuma and Shizuka Itou as Irina Jelavic.
