‘I Am A Hero’ Live-Action Film Trailer Arrives

2 min read

I Am A HeroAfter getting the theatrical premiere date of April 23rd, 2016 recently, the live-action adaptation of Kengo Hanazawa’s I Am A Hero manga now has its first full trailer (and TV spot). It’s definitely looking to fit into things well with the general climate at the moment and the production values look pretty solid as well.  The film is directed by Shinsuke Sato based on the screenplay by Akiko Nogi. it adapts the manga that has over eighteen volumes so far. It was recently picked up for distribution in North America from Dark Horse Comics and we suspect that the live-action film will likely find a home somewhere as well.

The Dark Horse manga release, done in omnibus form, is pretty nicely timed as well;

  • I am a Hero Omnibus Volume 1 TPB: 978-1-61655-920-5 | $19.99 | 4/6/2016
  • I am a Hero Omnibus Volume 2 TPB: 978-1-50670-019-9 | $19.99 | 10/5/2016
  • I am a Hero Omnibus Volume 3 TPB: $19.99 | 4/5/2017

Plot concept: The zombie apocalypse has never been more surreal. A mentally unhinged manga artist witnesses the beginning of a zombie outbreak in Tokyo, and he’s certain of only two things: he’s destined to be the city’s hero, and he possesses something very rare in Japan—an actual firearm!
