Kono Danshi Mahou ga Oshigoto desu Manga VisualWe learned a couple of weeks ago about the premiere date for the anime adaptation of Kono Danshi, Mahou ga Oshigoto desu next year and now we’ve finally got a real look at the show. It’s not a big look at it as it clocks in under a minute, but it provides a taste of the visual design as well as the theme song that’s going with it  The series will be a four-episode show that will be placed within the Ultra Super Anime Time block. That 30 minute block currently runs three different shows on it so we could be seeing some adjustments to it for that season. These episodes are scheduled to premiere on February 5th, 2016. The cast currently includes Yuuki Ono as Chiharu Kashima while Taku Yashiro is on board as Toyohi Utsumi.

The title itself may not be familiar, but the first two works have been licensed and released in North America already. Released by Sentai Filmworks, we’ve seen This Boy Can Fight Aliens and This Boy Caught A Merman previously.

The third and fourth iterations of the series, were done as a CD and an OVA respectively with Kono Danshi, Akunin to Yobaremasu and This Boy Suffers From Crystallization.

Soubi Yamamoto will be returning from the work she did on the OVAs to work on this TV series as well. Yamamoto’s previous TV work was the Meganebu! series, which also was picked up and licensed by Sentai Filmworks.

Plot concept: Chiharu Kashima is the captain of the Wizard Bureau’s Crisis Countermeasures Division. One day, he meets a friendly man named Toyohi Utsumi at the bar he frequents. Soon after the meeting, Utsumi confesses, “I’ve fallen in love with Kashima-san.” Kashima is taken aback, but the two soon begin to spend more time together.
