The first promotional video for Sekkou Boys arrived about a month ago along with the first key visual, giving us a clue as to what this odd little series will be like. Now the folks at Kadokawa have brought out a second promotional video for the series that clocks in at 70 seconds and expands our view of this kind of surreal series. The Ultra Super Anime Time block series will debut on January 8th, 2016. Animated by LIDENFILMS, the series will be directed by Seiki Takuno with script and composition by Michiko Yokote. Eriko Itou will be handling the character designs and serving as the chief animation director. Bonjour Suzuki will be providing the theme song for the series.
The previously announced cast includes:
- Tomokazu Sugita as Saint George
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Medici
- Jun Fukuyama as Hermes
- Daisuke Ono as Mars
- Shiho Kokido as Miki Ishimoto
- Yui Makino as Mira Hanayashiki, a top idol
- Takaya Kuroda as Hanzō Horibe, the president of the Holbein Entertainment agency
- Rena Maeda as Kinue Yamashita, Mira’s manager
- Takahiro Sakurai as Hironori Yanagisawa, a senior manager at Holbein
Plot concept: Four gypsum images with quirky personalities are part of an idol unit produced by a rookie female manager. The four members of Sekkou Boys are soldier saint George, the amorous god of war Mars, the multitalent with a beautiful skin Hermes, and celebrity pioneer Medici.
