‘Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei’ Anime Cast Expands Again & Premiere Date

ACtive Raid Visual (Small)The official site for the Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hakkei series added a second round of casting announcements about a month ago in November and has now done it again. The new round of supporting character names and their respective voices actors has been added to the site as it brings in a couple more familiar names for fans to get excited about. . The opening theme is being performed by AKINO with Golden Life while the ending theme is Tomei na Yozora by Yuka Aisaka.

The series is scheduled for a January 7th, 2016 debut. The series has Gorou Taniguchi serving as the chief director with Noriaki Akitaya as the main director. Shun Saeki created the original character designs while Asako Nishida is adapting them for the show. Scripts are being written by Naruhisa Arakawa.

The new cast additions are:

  • Tooru Ookawa as Yasuharu Funasaka
  • Saori Oonishi as Madoka Amano
  • Kousuke Toriumi as Kyoukai-san
  • Hikaru Midorikawa as Koutarou Inagi
  • Sayaka Ohara as Eriko Kominato
  • Daiki Yamashita as Doc

The previously announced cast includes:

  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Takeru Kuroki
  • Takahiro Sakurai as Sōichirō Sena
  • Ari Ozawa as Asami Kazari
  • Shizuka Ishigami as Haruka Hoshimiya
  • Masayo Kurata as Rin Yamabuki
  • Taishi Murata as Tomoki Hachijō
  • Yuka Aisaka as Hinata Yamabuki
  • Natsuki Hanae as Mythos

With a pretty strong staff like this, it really feels like it’ll be a Sunrise series. Time will tell. The full site is set to go live on October 22nd, 2015.

Plot concept: Set in a part of Tokyo that has descended into a quagmire, the story follows Unit 8 of the 5th Special Public Security Section’s 3rd Mobile Assault Division, popularly called “The Eighth,” who don powered armor “Willwear” exoskeletons to counter the rise in crime.
