2 min read

Stars My DestinationAnnounced as going forward back in May of this year, the feature film adaptation of The Stars my Destination finally has a bit of additional news to it. The film project has now brought on writer David DiGilio to handle the screenplay for Disruption Entertainment. DiGilio has done a number of TV works in the last few years and several scripts for Universal. He scripted the Eight Below film and also created the TV show Traveler.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts is still tapped to direct.

The story comes from Alfred Bester as it was originally serialized back in 1956 in Galaxy magazine under the name Tiger! Tiger! before it was compiled as The Stars My Destination. The work had a number of prescient areas to it and has been considered one of the best science fiction stories written in the 20th century.

The property has been picked up by Paramount Pictures for producer Mary Parent. Previous attempts have had people such as Richard Gere and Paul W.S. Anderson interested in bringing it to life.

Plot concept: Marooned in outer space after an attack on his ship, Nomad, Gulliver Foyle lives to obsessively pursue the crew of a rescue vessel that had intended to leave him to die.
