Nurse Witch Komugi VisualThe winter 2016 anime series Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R has had a small bit of news arrive on the official site in the form of a premiere date. The series is now scheduled to arrive on January 10th, 2016. It was also revealed that the newly formed Magical☆R idol unit would be handling the opening song with Ready Go!!, which is made up of the three lead actresses.

The show takes the parody portion of Soul Taker that had an OVA release in 2002 and 2004. Original character designs are from Akio Watanabe while the adaptation designs are from Takao Sano. Animated by Tatsunoko Production, Mina Oosawa and Keisuke Gotou are serving as the chief animation directors.

Property concept: Ungrar, the King of Viruses, has escaped from his prison cell in Vaccine World. Maya, the Goddess of Vaccine World sends Mugimaru down to Earth to find a human to accept the powers of Vaccine World and become the Magical Nurse. He finds the best (and the only willing) person for the job when he meets Komugi Nakahara. Komugi is a playful, lazy, and easily distracted (typical) teenager whose dream is to become a cosplay idol. Balancing her career with the Kiri-Pro Promotion Company and her new job battling Ungrar’s loyal henchman, the Magical Maid Koyori, Komugi delights audiences in this parody anime series.
