‘Prometheus’ Sequel Formally Titled With Logo Reveal & Release Date

2 min read

Alien CovenantWith the sequel to Prometheus having undergone some work since most just expected it to append a number to it, we learned previously that the film was going to be called Alien: Paradise Lost from comments by director Ridley Scott. With production set to begin in early 2016 as screenwriter John Logan recently came on board to do some work on it, 20th Century Fox has now revealed the formal title for it and the title card.

“20th Century Fox has announced Ridley Scott’s return to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction.”

With proper work towards the original logo, we’re definitely liking the simplcity of it all.

The film us scheduled for release on October 6th, 2017.

Plot concept: Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
