The third in the current trilogy of X-Men films is set to arrive on May 27th, 2016 with X-Men: Apocalypse and Fox is looking to get just a few people to know about it. Questions about the first trailer for it have been going on for awhile as we’d usually have something by about now to get the hardcore fans talking about it. Now the premiere for it has been set.
“I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.” Kinberg told Collider.
Naturally, this makes a lot of sense considering the number of people that will be going to see that film in its opening week or two. Disney has already picked their trailer for it, since the final trailer before the film starts is always from the same distributor, and they’re going with the permiere of the Captain America: Civil War trailer, which works well since there’s just a little bit of audience crossover there…
Following up from the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, the film will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Oscar Isaac, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Rose Byrne, Ian McKellen, Olivia Munn, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Lucas Till and Lana Condor. The new film is being written by Simon Kinberg with the screenwriters of X-Men 2, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.
