‘Pita-Ten’ Anime Release Scheduled

2 min read

Pita-TenNozomi Entertainment announced back at Anime Expo that they would be bringing out the Pita-Ten anime series next year. Now that we’re closer to 2016 than we were back in July, they’ve announced at Nebraskon that the series will be released on February 2nd, 2016 and they’ve revealed the tentative cover artwork for it as well. The show will come with extras that include the clean opening and closing, an event promo, liner notes for it and the original Japanese commercials.

The show is based on the manga of the same name from Peach-Put and is directed by Toshifumi Kawase (Tonjho Tenge, Beyblade) and Yuzo Sato (Magical Warfare), and features animation from MADHOUSE (Parasyte -the maxim-, Boogiepop Phantom, Di Gi Charat). The series aired in Japan in 2002.

The twenty-six episode series will be released on DVD with Japanese audio, English subtitles, and English on-screen translations.

Plot concept: Kotaro was pretty much supposed to be your average boy, worried about the pressures of education while enjoying a simple life with his friends. Much to his despair, he one day finds the overly cheerful Misha at his door, asking to be friends out of nowhere. Even more shocking is that Misha is an apprentice angel, yet she does more bad then good. Along with Kotaro’s school friends Takashi and Koboshi and the so called devil Shia (once again being able to do more good then bad), the group of friends spend their days getting into all sorts of adventures and troubles. Based on the manga by Koge-Donbo.
