The winter 2016 anime season just got a bit more interesting with the reveal that the manga series Oshiete! Galko-chan is now getting done up as an anime series. Set to premiere in January, the manga from Kenya Suzuki is being animated at studio Feel with Keiichirou Kawaguchi set to direct. Kenji Fujisaki is on board to handle the character designs for it. The first visual has been revealed as well, which you can see below.
The manga began in June 2014 via Comic Walker and has over sixty chapters published at this point and is ongoing. The series is Suzuki’s third, having worked on Rousoku-hime and Samuku naru to Kata wo Yosete previously.
Plot concept: Follow the daily school life of Gyaruko-chan, Otako, and Ojyo in this series of comedic short stories. Gyaruko-chan has a tendency to speak rudely, but she’s basically friends with everyone. Otako is the quiet loner of the class, but she is good friends with Gyaruko-chan. Ojyo speaks her mind freely and naturally.
