It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride since the announcement that Twin Peaks would get a continuation as we had a lot of cast questions going on and then David Lynch jumping off the project for awhile before returning. Lynch is set to direct all of the episodes, which is still just listed as “more than nine” at this point with no firm number. The series has been targeted for a 2016 debut but with no timeline for when it might appear. While Showtime is still indicating that a late 2016 date is still possible, CBS Corp chief Leslie Moonves has said that it’ll be a 2017 show and will be a big driver for subscriptions to the Showtime service, both on cable and satellite networks and through the standalone broadband offering.
