Sentai Filmworks picked up the home video and distribution rights for Diabolik Lovers II: More, Blood just under a month ago and are now able to exploit the streaming side of it more. That means the show is now starting to arrive on additional streaming services. The first one on deck is that of The Anime Network, which is going live right about now with the first episode in its original Japanese language form with English subtitles. New episodes are set to follow weekly on Wednesdays at 11:30 am ET for premium subscribers.
The series is directed by Risako Yoshida while Hiroko Kanasugi is handling the scripts, replacing Shinobu Tagashira and Seiko Nagatsu respectively. Yuuko Yahiro is still on board as the character designer and ZEXCS will again handle the animation.
The cast include Rie Suegara as Yui Komori, Hikaru Midorikawa as Ayato Sakamaki, Yuuki Kaji as Kanato Sakamaki, Daisuke Hirakawa as Raito Sakamaki, Kousuke Toriumi as Shū Sakamaki, Katsuyuki Konishi as Reiji Sakamaki, Takashi Kondo as Subaru Sakamaki, Takahiro Sakurai as Ruki Mukami, Ryohei Kimura as Kou Mukami, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yūma Mukami and Daisuke Kishio as Azusa Mukami.
The first season of the show aired in the fall of 2013 with twelve episodes clocking in at thirteen minutes each as it adapted the game to the small screen. Sentai Filmworks picked up the license for it and previously released it on DVD and Blu-ray in bilingual form.
Plot concept: The story continues where the first season of Diabolik Lovers left off, and the heroine, Yui Komori, is once again the object of desire of four dashing new vampires. Soon, the Sakamaki brothers from the show’s first season clash with the Mukami tribe in this supernatural dark romance’s second chapter.
