While it’s no jiggle counter, Sentai Filmworks has put together an amusing new promo for the currently being broadcast on Toonami series Akame ga KILL!. The spot, clocking in at thirty seconds, does promotion for the show in general and its broadcast run while showing off some of the bloodier moments from the first episode with how many characters got killed. It’s certainly one way to draw attention to the series, and it’s something that most series could use in getting a real push put behind them.
Plot Concept: Under the rule of a tyrannical empire, Tatsumi, a young swordsman, leaves his home to save his poverty stricken village. He meets a girl named Akame, an assassin who was bought, brainwashed and trained to kill by the Empire. Akame is a member of the secret assassin group called “Night Raid” who use special weapons called Teigu. Together, Tatsumi and the members of Night Raid confront the corrupt empire.
