Anime Limited Reveals Various ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’ Anime Release Plans

2 min read

ZZ GundamWith Sunrise working with different distribution partners for their releases around the world, what we’re seeing in one territory is mostly going to be the same elsewhere. UK distributor Anime Limited has now talked about some of their upcoming releases and how they’re going to be formatted, which gives us an idea of what the North American releases will be like.

While we already have our Turn A Gundam here, Anime Limited will be releasing it on DVD-only as well in its original Japanese language form with English subtitles.

Mobile Suit Gundam Zeta, however, will be getting a Blu-ray release in 2016. According to the information from the company, “We can confirm that the original Japanese audio with subtitles will be included in this set. At this time, while we anticipate it will be, we are waiting for definitive confirmation on if an English language dub will be available to include in our release. As soon as we have confirmation on this we’ll be sure to make it known.”

On the downside, at least for now, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ will be arriving DVD-only next year with the original Japanese language track and English subtitles.

“I’m delighted we’re able to distribute all three of these series in the UK for the first time ever!” said Andrew Partride of Anime Limited. “Gundam Z will be coming to Blu-ray while Gundam ZZ and Turn A Gundam will both be released on DVD. Both of the latter will be subtitle-only releases. More details on their releases specifically will be forthcoming. We’re delighted by the reaction we’ve seen both online and at MCM London Comic Con with regard to Gundam titles coming to the UK and we hope you’re as excited as we are for our 2016 lineup.
