Kaze UK has picked up and dated a pretty anticipated release for the UK with Akito the Exiled now on their slate of upcoming titles. The company has announced that they’ve picked up the property and will have the first two OVAs released on March 21st, 2016. No details about formats or languages nor pricing and extras have been revealed at this stage.

The fifth and final episode is scheduled for a February 6th, 2016 theatrical premiere in Japan.

The show has been picked up for release in North America by FUNimation and has been licensed in Australia by Madman. The original series was licensed in North America by Bandai Entertainment but has fallen out of print since the closure of the company. FUNimation picked up the rights to both properties back in the summer of 2013.

Plot concept: The story takes place in Europe in the year a.t.b. 2017. A Knightmare unit made of boys and girls from Area Eleven are thrown into a military operation with a 5% chance of survival. They must rescue an allied unit left behind on the European war front.
