FUNimation recently announced the December 15th, 2015 release of the Daimidaler anime series coming to DVD/BD combo and now they’ve followed it up with a look at the English language cast. The series has set Clifford Chapin to directing it based on scripts from John Burgmeier. The cast includes:

Main Cast
Matt Mercer as Kouich
Emily Neves as Kyoko
Cherami Leigh as Kiriko
Todd Haberkorn as Shouma
J. Michael Tatum as Matayoshi
Patrick Seitz as Penguin Emperor
Tess Ellory as Ritz

The release will have the twelve episode series in DVD/BD combo form priced at $64.98. It’ll include the episode commentaries, the original six bonus OVAs from the Japanese release, various TV and promo spots as well as the clean opening and closing sequences.

The property is based off the manga by Asaki Nakama which began in 2008 and ended in 2012 with four volumes total for it. It also got a sequel series from Nakama that has been running since October called Kenzen Robo Daimidaler OGS, which has a bimonthly publication schedule, so it’s not one we’ll see a lot of quickly.

Plot concept: The earth is under attack by the alien Penguin Empire and only heroes able to produce Hi-Ero particles need apply. Piloting the Daimidaler mechs are master pervert Kouichi with his take-no-prisoners libido and Kiriko, a girl who can level cities just by thinking of her boyfriend. It’s up to them to dodge the massive front tails of the filthy penguin commandos and go toe to toe with rival mechs powered by a girl who loves penguins a little too much. Experience an overflow of Hi-Ero power with brave Daimidaler!
