Win a ‘Time of Eve’ Anime & More Prize Pack

Time of Eve Cover

The folks at Pied Piper have brought out a couple of editions of the Time of Eve movie before and now they’ve graciously supplied us with a copy of the international release that includes the soundtrack as well as the novel and the official fan book of the series. This is a $105 value of material that takes you completely into the world of this work in order to be able to enjoy every aspect of it. So we’re looking to find this pack a home.

How to win? Simply post on any of the reviews or news items out there on the site between now and end of day on October 3rd, 2015. We’d like to see a bit more conversation on the articles themselves and if you can win something by doing so, why not, right? The more you post, the more chances you get to be randomly drawn at the start of each day for the day prior. We’ll reply to you asking for your details and ship it right off, with tracking, so you know when new anime goodness will be in hand.

The only restrictions? You must be in the US (overseas shipping requires more paperwork, and I’m tight on time as is), and posts of gibberish won’t be counted. We’re looking for some contributions here, not spam folks. And no, posts on this article don’t count. 😀 With so many different methods through which to post, take a chance and you might win:

Tiem of Eve Contest

Time of Eve: Deluxe Edition w/Soundtrack: Influenced by the Robot Ethics Committee, it’s become common sense for people to treat androids like household appliances. Their appearance – indistinguishable from humans except for the ring over each android’s head – has led some people to empathize unnecessarily with androids. Known as “android-holics”, such people have become a social problem.

Rikuo, a high school student, has been taught from childhood that androids are not to be viewed as humans, and has always used them as convenient tools. One day Rikuo discovers some strange data in the behavior records of his family’s household android, Sammy. Rikuo and his friend Masaki trace Sammy’s movements, only to discover a mysterious cafe that features a house rule that “humans and robots are to be treated the same”…

Includes the short films Pale Cocoon and Aquatic Language, plus the official soundtrack and a 56-page bonus book containing interviews, original sketches and illustrations, liner notes for the soundtrack, and an original short story by director Yasuhiro Yoshiura.

Time of Eve: Another Act Novel: This novel tells the story from the anime series and movie from the perspective of Rikuo Sakisaka, a high-school kid who confronts the emotional and moral implications of life with androids who look exactly like humans. This story reveals new insights into the characters, and introduces a new character and alternative ending. Features original full-color and black-and-white illustrations by Time of EVE’s character designer Ryusuke Chayama.

Time of Eve: Offical Fan Book: The official Fan Book for Yasuhiro Yoshiura’s classic sci-fi anime ONA and movie Time of Eve. It includes Original sketches by character designer Ryusuke Chayama and comments by director Yasuhiro Yoshiura about character development. Scene-by-scene breakdown of the story arc with extensive screenshots, essays by director Yasuhiro Yoshiura on the production process, storyboard excerpts, and background art highlights. Interviews with director Yoshiura, producer Tom Nagae, music supervisor Tohru Okada, and key cast members. Essays by anime experts, detailed breakdown of the Time of EVE animation process, and original short story based on the Time of EVE universe.
