MVM Entertainment Reschedules ‘No Game No Life’ UK Anime Release

2 min read

No Game No Life Hulu HeaderIt’s been a tough time for fans in the UK when it comes to getting a release for No Game No Life, but it looks like their patience may be rewarded. Acquired back in October 2014 by MVM Entertainment, the company originally scheduled it for an August 17th, 2015 release. Earlier this month that got push back to October 26th, 2015. Now MVM Entertainment is listing a November 30th, 2015 release for it. What looks like might be the reason for the delay is that they’re building up a collector’s edition release themselves as one is now listed to contain both the DVD and Blu-ray editions as well as the CD for a seven-disc set. Whether it includes the other material bonus items remains to be seen.

The anime adaptation comes from original creator Yuu Kamiya and is directed by Atsuko Ishizuka (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, NANA) with series composition by Jukki Hanada (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!, Beyond the Boundary), art direction by Eiji Iwase (Campione!, Divergence Eve) and animation production by Madhouse Studios (Highschool of the Dead, BTOOOM!).

Plot concept: Bored with life and considering it in the real world to be just a “crappy game,” savvy siblings Sora and Shiro have withdrawn into their own fantasy world filled with video games. It is because of this that they are summoned to another world by a boy calling himself “God.” It’s here in this world where Sora and Shiro’s abilities are put to the test. They are now in a world where their fate – and the fate of all humanity – is decided by game. Can they beat the hardest game they’ve ever played?
