2 min read

Netgame VisualAnnounced earlier this month, an anime adaptation is in the works for the 2013 series Netgame no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?, aka And you thought there is never a girl online?. Now a few details have arrived about the production with the cast revealed for it. With the latest Dengeki Online posting, the cast for the show has been revealed to include:

  • Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Durarara!!’s Mikado Ryūgamine) as Hideki Nishimura / Lucian
  • Rina Hidaka (Sword Art Online’s Silica) as Ako Tamaki / Ako
  • Inori Minase (School-Live!’s Yuki Takeya) as Akane Segawa / Schwein
  • M.A.O (Overlord’s EnriEmmot) as Kyō Goshōin / Apricot

The seventh volume when released earlier this spring sold around 20,000 copies while the eighth volume arrived earlier this month. The series from Shibai Kineko has done well so far as it’s followed the Dengeki plan by getting a solid volume count out there and meriting a manga adaptation, which is done by Kazui Ishigami that began in March of this year. No details about the production team what season it will show up in has been announced, but there will definitely be a solid flow of information as the roll out continues.

Plot concept: Our naïve protagonist proposes to a female character in an online game, only to find out that the player is actually a guy. Traumatized by that, he decides to never trust a girl online, but now, two years later, a female player is proposing to him. What will happen?

  1. M.A.O. is a busy, busy gal these days. I’d still like to know exactly what type of show genre this is going to be.
