The manga releases for the second Fantasista Stella did pretty well overall with its run as we had three bundled anime episodes throughout last year that drew in some new readers to it and raised its profile. But all good things must come to a close and now Shonen Sunday has revealed that the last chapter is coming in the next installment of Michiteru Kusaba’s series. With the twelfth volume out last month and the thirteenth next month, the fourteenth will be the final installment that arrives in November 2015.
The original twenty-five volumes manga series was released between 1999 and 2004 by Michiteru Kusaba and then a sequel series landed in 2012, which is where the OVA is being tied to. That series has had six volumes published so far since it began in 2012 with Kusaba returning to the title. The OVA is being produced by Xebec with Hideya Takahashi directing it. The OVAs star Junichi Yanagita as Teppei Sakamoto, Hideo Ishikawa as Keisuke Honda, Shunsuke Kawabe as Rui Ōkubo, Kaito Ishikawa as Ryūji Morikawa, Kouki Uchiyama as Kaoru Okita and Eiji Miyashita as Atsushi Kondō.
Plot concept: Fantasista Stella picks up the story from the original Fantasista manga when Teppei and teammate Keisuke Honda aim for the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil this summer.
