‘Attack on Titan’ Live Action TV Series Gets First Trailer

2 min read

Attack on Titan TVServing as a prequel for the first three part series that’s being streamed, the dTV site is now streaming the first promo for the Attack on Titan live action series. With the feature films getting a lot of attention, it’ll be curious to see how these thirty minute additional pieces add to the overall narrative when all is said and done. And with FUNimation having recently picked up the live action films, we’re really curious to see if they acquire these as well and how they get handled.

The premise of the series is that it delves into the everyday lives of the cast with their secrets as well and is tied into the two live action films. The idea behind it is to bridge the two films and fill in some of the blanks, though it’s hard not to think of them spinning off some kind of weird sitcom as well.

The project, which is untitled at this time, includes:

  • Satomi Ishihara as Hanji
  • Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha
  • Shu Watanabe as Fukushi
  • Rina Takeda as Lil
  • Ayame Misaki as Hiana
  • Yūta Hiraoka as a new character

It’ll be directed by Shinji Higuchi, who is directing the two live action films. The first live action film is set to land on August 1st, 2015 with the second on September 19th, 2015.

Property concept: 100 years ago, titans suddenly appeared on Earth. Soon, human civilization veered on collapse due to the titans. Humans then built a giant wall to defend themselves. Within the giant walls, humans lived in peace, but, 100 years later, the giant wall is broken.

  1. This does not feel like Attack on Titan. It almost seems like a low budget film at times.
