‘Attack on Titan: Junior High’ Manga Getting Anime Adaptation

Attack on Titan Junior High HeaderWith the recap movies, live action feature, live action TV bridging season and a full on second season of Attack on Titan all part of the follow-up to the massive popularity of the first season, it’s no surprise that the Junior High spinoff gag manga from Saki Nakagawa is getting the anime treatement.

Set to debut in October 2015 and likely to run for two cour in a lead-up to the expected spring 2015 second season of the main property, Attack on Titan: Junior High will be directed by Yoshihide Ibata based on the composition by Midori Gotou and character designs by Yuuko Yahiro. Production IG will be handling the animation and the main voice cast from the anime series proper will be voicing here as well. Check out the promo spot below and get ready to get chibi!

Plot concept: The school comedy story is set in a junior high school and centers on the original manga’s characters such as Eren and Mikasa as they battle with Titans. The spinoff incorporates gags while using Attack on Titan’s story and notable scenes as its basis.
