When it comes to new releases, you can usually pretty much count on Naruto doing well when it comes to the movie side of the equation. And that was born out with this release week in Japan as supplied by Oricon where we see that the film did just under 20,000 units on Blu-ray and 18,500 on DVD for the two limited edition versions. The regular edition for the DVD adds another 5,000 or so, which overall is pretty good for a show that’s been around as long as this. Outside of that, the lists look mostly familiar as the ongoings roll out and we get more SNAFU doing well as well as the latest Cinderalla Girls release. On the debut side, High School DxD BorN lands at 11th with it being a significant drop from the first two seasons by almost half while the first of the new Gintama series lands at 13th. We also get the first Mobile Suit Victory Gundam box set moving just under 3,000 units, which is very good considering the price point.
