Second ‘Wake Up, Girls!’ Anime Feature Scheduled With New Key Visual

Wake Up Girls Feature 2It’s been awhile since the January 2014 theatrical debut of the Wake Up, Girls! feature alongside the debut of the TV series, and a short-form series with Wake up, Girls! ZOO, but now we’re closer than ever to the two films that are coming up later this year. While we knew previously that we’d be seeing the first part in September and the second in December, we had no locked down dates. The first film now has a formal date of September 25th, 2015, thanks to the reveal of a new key visual through a fantastic poster for the project. The first film is set to be called Wake Up, Girls! The Shadow of Youth while the second work will go with Wake Up, Girls! Beyond the Bottom.

The staff from the first film is set to return here with Yutaka Yamamoto directing it at studio Ordet based on the script by Touko Machida. Chikaoka Sunao is set to reprise their role as both character designer and animation director.
