Aniplex Japan recently finished off its solicitations for the spring 2015 anime series Punch Line with the final volume and that means the focus now is jus ton release artwork. The latest piece to arrive is for the second volume of the series, which has a planned August 26th, 2015 release date. Interestingly, there’s no on disc extras solicited for it still so it’s all about the first press materials. With two episodes on it, the Blu-ray releases are priced at 6,800 yen each and the DVD releases are matched at the same price, which we don’t see too often. Check out the details for the volume below as we’ll add more as they’re solicited.
The show is being directed by Yutaka Uemura based on scripts by Kotaro Uchikoshi with animation at Mappa. Character designs are being handled by Shota Iwasaki. It stars Marina Inoue as Yūta Iritatsu, Sora Amamiya as Mikatan Narukino, Haruka Tomatsu as Rabura Chichibu, Minako KotobukiIto Hikiotani and Rie Kugiyama Meika Taihatsu.
The series works with the tagline of “Once he sees underwear, humanity is destroyed!?”, which pretty much says all that a lot of people will need to determine their interest.

Plot concept: If he sees underwear, humanity will be destroyed!? An original anime series from the noitaminA block, PUNCH LINE centers on Yuta Iridatsu, a high school student, with a peculiar habit. When he sees a girl’s panties, he gets so excited he faints! After a certain incident with a ghost cat, his soul gets separated from his body. Using his special powers, Yuta watches the daily lives of the inhabitants of an apartment and sometimes plays tricks on them. Eventually, Yuta decides to unlock the secrets to why Earth will be destroyed and tries to save it!
