You know it’s a slow week when Kiki’s Delivery Service charts with just under 250 copies being sold on the DVD side.
This week is pretty much filled with low performing releases and those that are just adding more sales to releases that came out previously. The big winner this week though is the first Youkai Watch film, which brings in 14,000 units sold on Blu-ray but a fantastic 85,000 units sold on DVD – which means you know the target audience for it. The Blu-ray chart is pretty much continuing sales for things like Uta no Prince and Akito the Exiled but we also get the new Nisemonogatari/Nekomonogatari box set charting well and the 10th Sailor Moon Crystal release getting into the top five. But when you see new releases like Absolute Duo and Shonen Hollywood charting, you know that the sales are low across the board.
