Miss Monochrome 2 Episode 1Miss Monochrome 2 | Episode 1 | TFP Review

Sensuifu: For all the Horie Yui fans…I matched the OP frames to her corresponding videos.. Enjoy

_PS_: Yay, Miss Monochrome is back! With an upgraded Ru-chan.  And we get both an OP and an ED now.

EmperorBrandon: Haha, Ru can talk now apparently, with the voice of Kamiya Hiroshi, and can fly. Feels like a magical girl mascot now…

Miss Monochrome 2 Episode 2Episode 2 | TFP Review

Buckeye: Monochrome needs a promoter, and it’s a good thing she didn’t hire Mana for the job. But she finds one in an unlikely place while also coming up with a new song, and that’s by pro motoring with an Initial D-style racing, with her opponent being Yayoi, who works for a small record label company. That was just great, especially the Initial D parody.

stardf29: I see Mana’s still trying to run off with others’ money. But who needs her as a promoter when you can have a cute, klutzy Asumi Kana-voiced office lady who becomes a completely different person when behind the wheel of an Initial-D-ready vehicle?

EmperorBrandon: Well, dodged a bullet there… Not only does Mana do her usual shtick of getting Monochrome to look past all of the money she swindled from her, but goes right to trying to swindle again after that. Good thing Maneo doesn’t have the means to pay as it kind of looks like he could have been gullible too. That’s not a good girl. Not good at all.

Luckily they get a cute stressed record label worker for their promoter. Fun seeing how she lets off that stress, turning into a different person behind the wheel. I like that not only does Monochrome get her promoter, but inspiration for a new song on top of that. A very fruitful encounter. Also like how Maneo serves as the disclaimer for safe driving.

Sensuifu: Cute how Monochrome spontaneously comes up with that new song, singing along while racing.  Wonder if Yayoi-tan’s clumsiness will affect Monochrome’s promotional strategies, though.

Hitsugi Amachi: As much as I kind of hate Mana, I am so happy that she never changes, continuing to be the amoral little thief she has always been. “That will make it an even 20.” You stay an evil little shit, Mana. Never change.

Very amusing as usual, though it’s amusing how Miss M can just make a car appear out of nowhere with her power. You wonder why she didn’t create a flatbed truck for their “album tour” last week

I like Yayoi-tan. If only they can convince her to do all of her negotiating with other parties only when she is seated inside of a car.

bctaris: And so more of her “band” comes together, from those couple shots in the OP. … Saw another one already, in ep 1: the girl, her co-worker, behind the counter at the convenience store. I can’t remember if she was seen in the first season, but I don’t think so.

EmperorBrandon: Actually, she did appear back in the first episode of the first season as well. Only reason I remember this is because I noticed her being a named character in the ending credits (Akiko) and had added her to ANN way back then.

bctaris: Ha, nice catch. I wonder if she has a cousin who works in a restaurant in Hokkaido named Maya.

Sensuifu: Yeah, the band’s complete.  Mana on Trombone, Ru on Drums, Manager on the Trumpet, Kikuko on Sax, Yayoi on Bass, Akiko on Guitar, and last but not least, Monochrome as lead vocalist.

_PS_: Oh my gosh, I had totally missed Ru-chan in the band. That is hilarious.
