‘Prison School’ Hana Anime Spot Lets Her Go Crazy

Prison School HanaWarner Bros. Japan has added another a new character spot for the upcoming debut of Prison School with the character of Hana, who as we see here basically has two very different personalities depending on the situation at hand. Hana’s voiced by Kana Hanazawa and she definitely gets to have some fun with this. The spot comes after getting an extended overall TV spot recently and the news of FUNimation picking this one up for simulcast.

The series is scheduled to debut on July 10th, 2015 on Toky MX and then roll out over the next few days to other regional broadcasters, satellite services and online through multiple services. The series is being directed by Tsutomu Mizushima based on the scripts from Michiko Yokote and character designs by Junichiro Taniguchi, who is also serving as the chief animation director. The series is being animated by JC Staff.

The cast for the series includes Hiroshi Kamiya asKyosh, Katsuyuki Konishi as Gakuto, Kenichi Suzumura as Shingo, Daisuke Namikawa as Joe, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Reiji “Andre” Andō, Sayaka Ohara as Mari, Shizuka Itou as Meiko, Kana Hanazawa as Hana, Keiji Fujiwara as Chairman Kurihara, Chinami Hashimoto as Chiyo Kurihara and You Taichi as Anzu Yokoyama.

The manga was recently licensed in North America by Yen Press.

Originally starting in 2011, Akira Hiramoto’s Kangoku Gakuen had announced with its fourteenth volume last August. The series is doing fairly well in Japan with over four million copies in print so far and the authors previous works, Ago Nashi Gen to Ore Monogatari and Yarisugi Companion to Atashi Monogatari have had adaptations in the last few years in the realm of mobile animation and live action film.

Plot concept: Hachimitsu Academy, known for its strict academic standards and even stricter school code, is making a giant change this year. In the first time in school history, they are allowing boys to be admitted. As Fujino Kiyoshi starts his first day at Hachimitsu Academy he is shocked to find out that there are only 4 other guys in the entire school, making the ratio of girls to boys 200:1. And to their dismay, not one of the thousand girls will talk to them or even acknowledge them. But Kiyoshi and the guys are about to find out about the shadow student council that has been threatening the female students about interacting with male students.
