3 min read

Nozomi LogoNozomi Entertainment showed up at Anime Expo today with the intent to make a splash and they certainly did.

One announcement that will resonate is that the company will be bringing out their first Blu-ray release ever and they’re kicking it off with Revolutionary Girl Utena. It’ll be released as three collections, similar to how their DVD release was a couple of years back.

In addition to that, the original Mobile Suit Gundam will be released on Blu-ray. The first 21 episode set will arrive in the fall of 2015 in bilingual form with English subtitles. They have plans to release Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, After War Gundam X, and the Turn A Gundam movie collection. Formats for those were not specified.

The company also revealed several new acquisitions with:

Tamayura: Hitotose: The story takes place in Seto Inland Sea and is about a girl who likes taking pictures.

The release contains 12 episodes, a special “5.5” episode, and 4 OVAs. and will be released in fall 2015 in Japanese with English subtitles.

Umi Monogatari: Marin and her sister Urin live in the sea. One day they find a ring fallen into the sea. They get out of the sea and meet a girl Kanon, the owner of the ring. Kanon tells them she doesn’t want the ring anymore because it was given by her boyfriend whom she just broke up with, and she throws it into the forest. Marin thinks Kanon is still in love with him and looks for the ring with her sister. But Urin accidentally breaks a seal near a shrine…

The thirteen episode run will be released in the fall of 2015 with Japanese audio, English subtitles, and on-screen translations.

Big Windup! Season 2: Picking up where the original series left off, Ren Mihashi, the ace pitcher of the newly-formed Nishiura High School baseball team, and his teammates face the Sakitama High School team in the next round of the High School Baseball Invitational Tournament as they aim to play in the finals at legendary Hanshin Koushien Stadium.

The thirteen episode season will be released in 2016 with Japanese audio, English subtitles, and English on-screen translations.

Pita-Ten: Kotaro was pretty much supposed to be your average boy, worried about the pressures of education while enjoying a simple life with his friends. Much to his despair, he one day finds the overly cheerful Misha at his door, asking to be friends out of nowhere. Even more shocking is that Misha is an apprentice angel, yet she does more bad then good. Along with Kotaro’s school friends Takashi and Koboshi and the so called devil Shia (once again being able to do more good then bad), the group of friends spend their days getting into all sorts of adventures and troubles. Based on the manga by Koge-Donbo.

The twenty-six episode series  will be released in 2016 with Japanese audio, English subtitles, and English on-screen translations.

A Town Where You Live: Eba Yuzuki, a girl from Tokyo moves to a countryside to attend high school. She lives together with a guy named Kirishima Haruto whose father is an apprentice of Eba’s father. Haruto never agrees to let Yuzuki stay at his house and always rejects her. Another girl, Kanzaki Nanami, comes whom Haruto might be in love with. So… what will happen in this story?

The twelve episode series will be released in 2016 with Japanese audio, English subtitles, and English on-screen translations.
