‘Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno’ English Subtitled Anime Trailer Arrives

1 min read

Detective Conan Movie HeaderWhile the 19th Detective Conan film came out back in April with Sunflowers of Inferno in Japan, it’s also getting released elsewhere. And one of those places is in Singapore where distributor Odex is handling it and has put together the first official English subtitled trailer for the film. it’s getting a release on July 23rd in the country.  The feature is an interesting one as it’s bringing in a character from original creator Gosho Aoyama’s series Magic Kaito together. With a new TV series airing last fall and a nod to the manga getting a bit of additional life recently, a feature film bringing the two works together certainly makes a lot of sense. The film is produced by TMS Entertainment, which is no surprise as they’ve been involved since the beginning of this property.

Plot concept: Kaitou Kid and Vincent van Gogh’s artworks feature heavily in the movie, according to an interview with Gosho Aoyama. The teaser preview at the end of Dimensional Sniper included references to van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” series.
