General Hentai: Over the top ending? Coming right up.

Yamada2: So Yuuji shows off his badassery here with the fight against his little brother. The fight scene was okay at best and it felt too fast. But it sure was exciting.

Moreover, how on earth did Yuuji survive that blast? He was seriously injured before the blast so swimming away in 2 minutes was impossible. Did someone come to his rescue? But they didn’t show anyone rescuing him or anything. This is one question which shall never be answered.

Overall a pretty solid season. This was more enjoyable than Kajitsu. Kajitsu developed the girls’ feelings for Yuuji. Meikyuu told us who Yuuji is. Rakuen put those developed feelings to the test. A pretty damn good anime. Yuuji has been, by far, one of the best harem MCs ever.

General Hentai: In a show that was over the top in every way to start, it just kept ramping things up, and the finale was no exception. Yuuji fights his “little brother”, who for some reason has grown to the same age as Yuuji after he was “cloned” at some point by Oslo. Over the top moments just cascade down like mad. The result is too much was crammed in here to make any sense, but, hey, who cares? Yuuji’s escape, booster drugs that we find out about for the first time, Oslo having his own super-carrier (artificial platform?), and so much more. This is like a late Sean Connery/Roger Moore Bond film, and can’t be regarded as serious, as for example, Kazuki’s “joke” (JB would have to be in on it, you would think). There are too many ridiculous things in this show, but the only real annoying thing is the “2 years later”. This comes after the “1 year later” that happened after the end of the first series. And yet none of these girls look like they’ve aged in the least. At least they gave most of the girls tans.

Sensuifu: Iirc, the booster drugs were mentioned in an earlier episode..I think it was during the flashback with Yuuji training with his female trainee friend he couldn’t defeat, unless I’m mistaken. As for Oslo’s carrier, I’m going to guess it was ‘borrowed’ as collateral for negotiating with the government/military, though I could be also wrong about that. But hey, realism be damned. Sure the girls don’t look any older, but if we’re nitpicking…why is Amane wearing the same clothes she wore two years ago?

General Hentai: This show doesn’t quite carry it off this season. I enjoyed the first series best because it wasn’t as insanely over the top. This was still a fun season, however, and likely the end of the series. But it didn’t have the time it needed to do its job as well as it could have, had it had another 2-3 (or more) episodes. For example, only finding out about the “little brother” in the last episode, other than a cameo or two earlier, doesn’t make him mean anything really for the showdown. We’re never shown why Oslo is badass enough to beat Yuuji who’s on booster drugs. They did a nice job of building up Oslo as someone we all wanted Yuuji to kill (hooray!), but not enough on why he is what he is, and why he is who he is.

Sensuifu: Yeah, Yuuji’s ‘clone’/little brother came out of nowhere, but I didn’t think it was too much of a stretch considering what Oslo has been shown to do…create killing machines by exploiting kids. Experimenting with Yuuji’s genes to create a more effective killing machine is consistent with his motives. As for the fight between Yuuji, were were shown why Oslo had enough badassery to defeat Yuuji- We’ve known him to be a fighter while training Yuuji in the past; Yuuji was suffering from withdrawal symptoms while the booster drugs wore off, making him more vulnerable as evidence by his fight with his clone and right before Oslo stabbed him. Oslo using Asako’s katana that slices and dices through anything pretty much gave him the upper hand too, even if Yuuji used booster drugs.

General Hentai: And, of course, Yuuji’s whole, “I was injured and couldn’t get to y’all for months”, 6 months before he could even walk on his own, it’s just a nonsensical ending. Too much fun is not explored here, unfortunately, such as the natural increase in sexual aggressiveness among all the girls who would be 3 years older than when we first met them.

Sensuifu: Would’ve been amusing to see what they could’ve done, but I’m guessing the girls were more considerate to have him heal before playing rough with him.

General Hentai: Despite the flaws, this remained a whole lot of fun. It did need another 3 episodes to really hit the right notes, however, and no, I don’t count Labyrinth in that episode count.

Sensuifu: I enjoyed pretty much everything and expected nothing more from all the absurdity we’ve seen build up to this point. It’s mostly an acquired taste to fully enjoy this type of campy anime, where the illogical and nonsense knows no bounds. Despite all the aspects that probably should’ve been further developed, I was still thoroughly entertained. Definitely a favorite of the season.
