‘Please Teacher!’ Anime Revisited With New English Language Dub Clip

2 min read

Please Teacher CoverNozomi Entertainment brought out Please Teacher! on DVD earlier this month, which we reviewed, but there’s still some dub clips to enjoy, especially since it’s like a time capsule to dubbing days of old. The release was done litebox style and contains the entire thirteen episode run of the series priced at $39.99. The property has its original Japanese language track with English subtitles as well as the previously created English language dub that Bandai Entertainment produced when they first released the series.

The show will be spread across three discs in its release and also includes the OVA. Additional extras include Clean Opening, Clean Closing, Promotional Videos, Music Clips, Commercials, Preview for Episode 13, Marie Love Theater.

The English language adaptation stars Dave Wittenberg, Bridget Hoffman, Michelle Ruff, Julie Anne Taylor, Melissa Fahn, Kirk Thornton, Tony Schnur, Michael McConnohie, Karen Strassman, Sandy Fox, Tony Oliver and Wendee Lee.

Plot concept: Kei Kusanagi isn’t your typical 15-year-old high school student. He’s actually an 18-year-old with a rare disorder that puts him into what he calls, a “standstill”! When he was younger, this disorder left him in a deep coma which stunted his growth for three years. Mizuho Kazami isn’t your typical teacher, either. She’s actually an alien sent by the Galaxy Federation to observe the Earth!

As the sole human being with knowledge of Ms. Kazumi’s secret, Kei must… marry her?! Homework, dating, and a gorgeous wife – going to school has never been quite this fun!
