Adding another piece of the puzzle of what’s to come in the future from Australian distributor Madman Entertainment, the company has announced the acquisition of the Wolf Girl & Black Prince anime series. The fall 2014 anime series has been picked up by Sentai Filmworks for North American distribution, so the potential of either a Blu-ray release or a bilingual one is there, though Sentai hasn’t announced their plans for the show yet.

The series comes from Ayuko Hatta, which began back in 2011 and has eight volumes released in Japan so far, along with a few spinoffs such as a novel and Drama CD. The series is being directed by Kenichi Kasai based on scripts by Sawako Hirabayashi with character designs by Maki Fujioka, who is also serving as the chief animation director.

The cast includes Kanae Ito as Erika Shinohara, Takahiro Sakurai as Kyoya Sata, Ai Kayano as Ayumi Santa, Mariya Ise as Marin Tachibana, Mikako Komatsu as Aki Tezuka, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yoshito Kimura, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Nozomi Kamiya, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Takeru Hibiya and Ayumu Murase as Yū Kusakabe.

Plot concept: Wolf Girl and Black Prince centers around a high school girl Erika Shinohara, who brags to her friends about her many romantic exploits, but in reality she has never even had a boyfriend. She claims that a boy in a candid photograph is her boyfriend, but it turns out that he is actually a schoolmate named Kyoya Sata, who, despite his sweet appearance is actually a sadist. Now that Erika has no choice but to make him her fake boyfriend, Kyoya takes advantage of this and treats her like his dog.
