With the summer premiere of Chaos Dragon just ahead of us, TOHO has now revealed the basic plans for the Japanese home video release for the series. Scheduled for a twelve episode run, the show will begin its home video release on September 16th, 2015 with six volumes. The Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,200 yen each while the DVDs are at 6,200 yen each. Check out the first blush details below and the cover artwork for the first volume along with its packaging.
The show is now set for a July 2nd, 2015 debut in Japan, the series is part of a multimedia project that’s tied to a boardgame and a smartphone game from Sega Networks and is based on the role-playing fiction project Red Dragon,which was created by five notable creators with Gen Urobochi, Kinoko Nasu, Iduki Kougyoku, Ryohgo Narita and Simadoriru.
The cast includes Marina Inoue as Ibuki, Miyuki Sawashiro as Eiha, Sōma Saitō as Soirot Clasbari, Maaya Uchida as Rō Chenfa, Unshou Ishizuka as Kagraba, Haruka Terui as Meryl, Jouji Nakata as the Black Dragon, Keiji Fujiwara as Simeon, Aimi as Ulrika, Haruo Satou as Enumael, Tomokazu Seki, Sayaka Ohara, Tōru Ōkawa, Eriko Matsui, Ryoko Shiraishi, Atsushi Tamaru, Ryohei Kimura as Sol,Aoi Yūki as Shaddy and Ayaka Imamura as Miska.
The anime adaptation is being directed by Masato Matsune at Silver Link with overall series composition by Ukyou Kodachi with work by Shou Aikawa
Plot concept: The series takes place in Huanli (the Year of Dazzling) 3015. Donatia and Kouran, two countries fighting for supremacy, are causing the world to be torn apart due to the constant war. Amidst the strife is the island country Nil Kamui, which has lost its independence. Red Dragon, the guardian god of Nil Kamui, goes out of control. Will the island country be able to regain its independence?
