The world of Aria with Aria the Avvenire is coming back into focus later this year with the beginning of a three episode special that will debut in Japan on September 26th, 2015. Distributor Shochiku has begun streaming a new 90 second spot for the project with a bit of the theme song making its way into it. The three part event is a good one for fans, particularly of the manga, as the first two episodes adapt stories that haven’t been animated before while the third episode is a new one.

Animated by TYO Animations, Junichi Sato is set to direct it and work the scripts while Masayuki Onji is set to handle the character designs.
The series has seen a solid release in anime form in North America over the years with Nozomi Entertainment bringing it out in limited edition form on DVD as well as priced-down litebox releases. The manga has seen a less than solid run between ADV Manga and TOKYOPOP over the years as it’s never been released in full.
Property concept: Akari Mizunashi, at the age of 15, has left everything behind to travel to a sparkling planet covered in water, Aqua. More than anything, Akari wants to be an “undine” – a female gondolier who navigates the canals of the Aquan city of Neo-Venezia. As she begins her training with the prestigious Aria Company, will she be up to the challenges that await her on the path to achieve her dream?
