Things are going to start moving fast in the next couple of months for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a lot of quadrants ahead of the films debut, and one of those pieces has come into place via the Licensing Expo that’s going on this week. With a heavy push for promotion through license partnerships – and confirmations that Wonder Woman will be featured prominently, the official synopsis for the film has also been revealed, which sets the stage for what’s going on and the potential for there being some significant time between this and Man of Steel.

Directed by Zack Snyder based on a screenplay by Chis Terrio, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa will appear as Cyborg and Aquaman in minor roles. It’s set to debut on March 25th, 2016.

Plot concept: Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
