Urawa no Usagi-chan Episode 8Weird narration indeed.

What They Say:
Urawa no Usagi-chan is an original series centered around the daily lives of 8 girls in junior high school in Saitama prefecture’s Urawa district. Usagi, Tokiwa, Minami, Sakura, Midori, Kojika, Saiko, Misono – Enjoy watching their unique personalities play off against each other as their fun-filled school life unfolds.

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
With a rather uninteresting quiz show gag kicking things off, the series goes a little somber in a way here due to the gang hanging out in the student council room while it rains outside. I’ve always liked the way anime shows can work some good mood and atmosphere in with rainy day episodes, but that doesn’t happen here. Instead, we basically get a competition between a couple of the characters in the quiz form that’s done as being between the railway club and the student council. There’s some of the usual gags you’d expect, but they fall flat here. Frankly, once again, everything falls flat here, though at least Usagi does try her best for the brief time that she gets to be on screen here amid the competition.

In Summary:
Urawa no Usagi-chan feels like it’s basically trolling the audience at this point by just trying to see how many people they can get to watch the show and waste three minutes of their lives. They sucker me week after week and I’m not proud to admit it. The quiz show aspect to things here with the competitive nature of some of the kids isn’t bad, but it has nothing compelling about it and most of the gags and dialogue just falls flat and highly uninteresting.
