‘Aikatsu!’ Getting New Theatrical Anime Feature

AikatsuWith the way there’s so many idol shows in general and some really popular ones aimed at a younger audience, it’s no surprise that Aikatsu! is carving out itself a good run. The official site has now announced that a new theatrical feature will land on August 22nd, 2015 that will be called Aikatsu! Music Award: Minna de Shou wo MoracchaimaShow!. The film will be directed by Shinya Nishikida with character designs by Hiroko Yaguchi and overall stage composition by Youichi Katou. Bandai Namco Pictures is handling the production itself, and have stealthily launched a trailer for it that you can see below.

The original series has been ongoing since 2012 with almost 150 episodes so far while the first theatrical feature landed from Sunrise back in December 2014.

Plot concept: The movie will present an Aikatsu! All-Star awards ceremony, where the cast will promote songs and stages throughout the anime series.
