TV Tokyo continues to have close ties to Disney and their Marvel side as they’ve currently broadcasting the third season of Ultimate Spider-Man with Web Warriors. The new season kicked off back in April and now the first bit of promotion for the Ninth episode landing on June 2nd has arrived. This is a bit unusual though as the episode that they’re promoting is episode 13 in the original run as they’re apparently skipping over the four part Spider-Verse arc and leaping to the Guardians of the Galaxy episode instead. The series gets some prime broadcast real estate as it’s a 6:30pm show, making it part of a lot of family’s dinner time together in Japan. This episode was written by Eugene Son and directed by Tim Maltby.
This season of the series was originally broadcast during the late summer/fall of 2014 in North America. If anyone knows the cast information for this series, please let us know as I’ve not been able to track it down.
Plot concept: The Guardians of the Galaxy land on Earth to repair their ship at the same time Titus leads the Chitauri into targeting Nova’s helmet. Now Spider-Man and Nova must work with the Guardians of the Galaxy to defeat Titus and the Chitauri.
