‘Young Black Jack’ Anime Adaptation Gets Season Set

1 min read

Young Black Jack Volume 1 CoverAnnounced earlier this month, the anime adaptation of  Young Black Jack is on track as it brings about the 2011 manga series written by Yoshiaki Tabata with artwork by Yuugo Okuma to the small screen. Details were slim to be expected with it, but the release of the eighth volume of the series this week has revealed that the show is going to be set for a Fall 2015 broadcast debut in Japan. That series serves as a prequel to the original and has eight volumes out as of this month in Japan. While the original work from Tezuka has seen numerous adaptations over the years, this series is now getting ready for an adaptation. No details on the form of it yet, but new Black Jack with a look at his younger and more formative years is definitely something that has a lot of potential while still adhering to what makes the character popular.

Plot concept: Based on the brilliant maverick doctor created by manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka. This prequel follows Black Jack when he was still a medical student in the 1960s.
