Monster Musume Papi VisualThe upcoming broadcast of Monster Musume is definitely eagerly anticipated by many and the show is teasing out things nice and slow to build up well ahead of its debut. The latest that we’ve gotten comes from the official site where a new key visual has been released that you can see below of the expanded cast of characters, as well as some new casting information. The latest to join the production in voice over capability is that of Mayuka Nomura taking on the role of Suu, Huruka Yamazaki joining as Meroune “Mero” Lorelei and Sakura Nakamura boarding the series as Rachnera “Rachnee” Arachnera.

With a planned summer 2015 debut in July, the series will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara based on the overall series composition and scripting by Kazuyuki Fueyasu. Tatsuya Sunagawa is doing double duty as the animation director and character designer and the series is going to be animated at Lerche and Seva.

The cast announced so far includes Sora Amamiya as Miia, Ami Koshimizu as Papi and Natsuki Aikawa as Centorea, Mayuka Nomura as Suu, Huruka Yamazaki as Meroune “Mero” Lorelei and Sakura Nakamura as Rachnera “Rachnee” Arachnera.

Seven Seas Entertainment is currently releasing the manga in North America and they’ve just released the sixth volume themselves, having caught up quickly to the Japanese release side overall.

Plot concept: Monsters—they’re real, and they want to date us! Three years ago, the world learned that harpies, centaurs, catgirls, and all manners of fabulous creatures are not merely fiction; they are flesh and blood—not to mention scale, feather, horn, and fang. Thanks to the “Cultural Exchange Between Species Act,” these once-mythical creatures have assimilated into society, or at least, they’re trying.

When a hapless human named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a “volunteer” into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu’s job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what’s a full-blooded young man with raging hormones to do?!
