Arrow Season 3 Episode 17While it was essentially a given at this point, The CW has formally announced the pickup of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which is part of the potential branding to work similar but different to the way Marvel labels their shows. The new series is one that still isn’t clear on its format yet, such as length and premiere as it could be a between the break kind of show like Agent Carter was for Agents of SHIELD, but the cast is confirmed at this point and the basic premise has been revealed as well. No pilot has been shot for it yet, but the cast appears in the season finale of The Flash, and with several of the actors already established and the production company set, it’s no surprise that it was concept to order.

The series stars Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, with Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller,

Plot concept: When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
