The latest manga and light novel rankings have come in from Japan and the top of the charts this time around is the very popular Haikyuu! manga series. With the 16th volume landing last week, it brought in 385,000 copies to take the top spot, edging out the close Assassination Classroom. To the delight of many, Natsume’s Book of Friends with its 19th installment scored the number three spot while everything else in the top ten are all books that came out recently that are adding sales. Which is good, as One Piece still added another 67,000 copies and Giant Killing another 75,000 copies. Even Attack on Titan added another 93,000 copies to its total to bring it up to just under 1.5 million so far for the 16th volume.
On the light novel side, the big surge we saw for Is It Okay To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? continues on with the volumes spread around again, but most adding another 10,000 copies a piece, which is just damn impressive for the seven volumes out there. The latest Naruto Hiden book takes the second this week as the fifth Haikyuu!! Shousetsu-ban!! light novel conquers the chart at nearly 70,000 copies.
