Sentai Filmworks has added another of their spring 2015 anime series pickups onto Hulu this week with the debut of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too! on the service. The sequel season of the series has the first episode now available for all to see and those with a Hulu Plus account can watch this show in HD on your TV, mobile and computer.
The series is directed by Kei Oikawa at studio feel. Shotaro Shuga is back on board to set the series composition, but Yuichi Tanaka is on to handle the character designs this time around. Based on a series of light novels by Wataru Watari, the first season of the anime was directed by Ai Yoshimura (Oreimo, Gintama) and produced by Brains Base (Baccano!, Natsume Yujin-cho).
The main cast is returning, which is certainly a plus. That cast includes Nao Tōyama as Yui Yuigahama, Saori Hayami as Yukino Yukinoshita, Takuya Eguchi as Hachiman Hikigaya, Mikako Komatsu as Saika Totsuka, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Yoshiteru Zaimokuza, Aoi Yūki as Komachi Hikigaya, Mai Nakahara as Haruno Yukinoshita, Ryoka Yuzuki as Shizuka Hiratsuka and Takashi Kondo as Hayato Hayama. Ayane Sakura has joined as Iroha Isshoku and Haruka Tomatsu has boarded as Kaori Orimoto.
Series concept: Opposites may attract, but putting them together can result in chemical burns, electric shocks, and explosions. Enter Hachiman Hikigaya, a pessimistic high school student with no friends, no interest in making any, and the firm belief that everyone else’s cherished high school experiences are either delusions or outright lies. Hachiman finds himself coerced by his well-meaning student advisor into joining the one member Service Club. There he encounters club founder Yukino Yukinoshita, a smart, attractive, walking superiority complex who looks down on the entire student body. These two negative personalities are quick to attract Yui Yuigahama, who’s cute, bright, cheerful, and needs the Service Club’s help to… bake cookies? Is this a recipe for romance or the precursor for a nuclear meltdown? Will there be cookies, nookie, or a reason for everyone to play hooky? Get ready for rom-com gone totally wrong as the barrage a trois of the Service Club is unleashed on the unsuspecting student body in MY TEEN ROMANTIC COMEDY – SNAFU!
