Dark Horse Comics just released the first volume of Oreimo: Kuroneko about two weeks ago and now word out of Japan is that the series is set to end shortly. THe newest issue of Gengeki G’s Comic coming up this week will announce that the series is set to end with the May 30th installment of the magazine. The series has seen five volumes in Japan so far so Dark Horse Comics will have six volumes overall when all is said and done. They currently have the second volume scheduled for a July 15th, 2015 release date.
The offshoot manga was handled by Sakura Ikeda based on the light novels from Oreimo creator Tsukasa Fushimi.
Plot concept: In a shocking twist, Kyousuke’s sister Kirino has decided to study abroad… and Ruri Gokou, a.k.a. Kuroneko, is transferring to Kyousuke’s school! Is his homeroom prepared to have the dark Queen of Nightmare among them… and is the manga world prepared when Kuroneko makes her first pitch to a professional company? One thing’s for sure – Kyousuke will be by her side, supporting her. But how close is “by her side” going to be…?
